Richmond retail fuel site features DEF, high-speed pumps

Aug 31 2016

Home-based fleets, municipalities and diesel drivers have a convenient, new option to fuel up with CountryMark’s Premium Dieselex-4 in Richmond less than two miles south of Interstate 70 in east-central Indiana.

“We invested in this area to help grow our footprint organically to better serve our diesel customer base, especially local municipalities and home-based fleets,” said Michael Bradley, marketing manager for Harvest Land Co-op and CountryMark.

Built from the ground-up, the brand new site located at 1435 NW 5th St. in Richmond is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to providing convenient access to Premium Dieselex-4, the station also dispenses Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) for volume filling bulk containers including totes and drums. For more information on DEF bulk options at the Richmond station call ahead to 765-966-6082.

“We created this station to provide a better overall experience for diesel drivers by offering not only CountryMark’s premium diesel fuel, but also the option to fill DEF containers,” said Bradley, who added that the station features high-speed pumps designed for commercial fueling.

The new Richmond CountryMark station is owned and operated by Harvest Land Co-op, a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Richmond. Harvest Land Co-op currently provides fuel for ten CountryMark retail stations.

CountryMark supplies fuels and lubricants to member cooperatives throughout the Midwest, which then supply energy products to 100-plus CountryMark branded retail fuel stations and 200-plus delivery routes.

CountryMark’s line of premium liquid fuels begins with light, sweet American crude oil brought in from Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. It is refined to the highest specifications at the CountryMark refinery in Mt. Vernon, Ind. Fuel quality and integrity is further protected in distribution, as CountryMark owns its own pipeline distribution system.

“As a farmer-owned oil company, I think we approach fuel quality in a different way,” said CountryMark Retail Manager Gary Barrett. “We produce the quality of fuels that our farmer owners want to use in their own vehicles.
Our premium diesel fuels are the only fuels in our marketplace that are consistently a high cetane, high detergent product, which provides all of our diesel customers with more power, performance and reliability than they can get from comparable diesel products.”

Premium Fuel Comes with Premium Benefits
As consumers we are bombarded by marketing campaigns claiming bigger and better products, and services that offer to simplify and improve our daily lives. Oftentimes, it is difficult to sift through the clutter as to what is factual and what is a half-truth marketing claim set out to confuse or convince us into purchasing products or services we may not necessarily need.
