CountryMark recognizes six individuals with Distinguished Service Awards

CountryMark is proud to announce six individuals who were recently honored at CountryMark’s Annual Sales Awards Banquet for the organization’s top Distinguished Service Awards: Energy Sales Representative of the Year, Energy Department Manager of the Year, Energy Sales Specialist of the Year and Energy Support Representative of the Year.


“The Distinguished Service Awards recognize individuals that work in the CountryMark cooperative system and who have exhibited outstanding performance and leadership in the roles they serve,” said Jon Lantz, CountryMark Vice President of Marketing. “These dedicated individuals not only exhibit excellence in their daily work in the cooperative system, but also contribute to the communities they live in.”


Recipients were nominated by their member cooperative and were evaluated against a set of desirable criteria and traits. The criterion included, but was not limited to: professionalism, superior customer relations, leadership characteristics and the implementation of innovative ideas.

Gary Teeters – North Central Co-op


Energy Department Manager of the Year

Lee Leffert – North Central Co-op


Energy Sales Specialist of the Year

Mark Burch – North Central Co-op


Energy Support Representative of the Year

Robin Christiansen – Co-Alliance


Additional recognition was given to CountryMark’s 14 member cooperative energy teams for their accomplishments this year. Special awards were given to Union County Co-op, Superior Ag and Premier Energy for achieving the highest percent increase in fuel sales in the past twelve months. SynEnergy Partners, North Central Co-op and Co-Alliance were recognized for their overall liquid fuel sales. North Central Co-op, Ceres Solutions and Harvest Land Co-op were recognized for their overall lubricant purchases and Shelby County Co-op, Premier Energy and Harvest Land Co-op for highest percentage increases in lubricant sales.
