CountryMark Addresses Inappropriate Social Media Comments

Oct 04 2017

On behalf of the employees and owners of CountryMark, I am writing to address the inappropriate and insensitive comments made yesterday on Facebook by someone who represented to be a CountryMark employee regarding a local incident. The post on social media is deeply offensive to us and in no way reflects the values of our company. I did not authorize anyone to speak on my behalf nor do we condone this behavior. We are also deeply offended that this individual falsely portrayed themselves as our company leader. I assure that they are not, nor have ever been, CountryMark’s CEO. To the young person who was recently the victim of a horrible crime and then further victimized on social media, please accept our apology for the painful comments and please know you are in the thoughts and prayers of our entire company. Sincerely, Charlie Smith, CountryMark President and CEO
