CountryMark and branded dealers give back through adjusted Fueling Freedom program

Jul 23 2020

For over 10 years, CountryMark has hosted Fueling Freedom events at CountryMark branded fueling stations across Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. During these events, CountryMark and branded dealers have donated 50 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped to local National Guard Soldier and Family Readiness Groups.

These interactive, in-person events traditionally have taken place at more than 30 different CountryMark branded fuel stations and have garnered hundreds of volunteers from CountryMark, its branded dealers and local National Guard Soldier & Family Readiness Groups.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, CountryMark ultimately made the decision to forgo an in-person Fueling Freedom. Health and safety is a top priority for CountryMark and it was decided for the best interest of the many groups and individuals that participate in Fueling Freedom to cancel the in-person program.

Although the safest choice was to cancel the program for 2020, CountryMark felt giving back to its communities was even more important now in these challenging times. With the help of its branded dealers, CountryMark is donating over $40,000 to more than 20 local National Guard Soldier & Family Readiness Groups that would have benefited from an in-person Fueling Freedom program.

National Guard Soldier & Family Readiness Groups are critical support systems to local soldiers. Donations from CountryMark’s Fueling Freedom events will be used by National Guard Soldier & Family Readiness Groups to fund after-school programs, send packages to deployed local soldiers and host summer programs for soldiers and their families.
