CountryMark fuel stations to raise money for local military families through Fueling Freedom program

Jun 04 2021

When you fill up at a participating CountryMark fuel station on Friday, June 25 between noon and 5pm, CountryMark and its branded dealers will donate 50 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped to local National Guard Family Readiness Groups. Customers are also invited to register to win a $150 gift card.

Fueling Freedom is our way of recognizing and supporting our local National Guard troops and their families," said Matt Makinson, CountryMark Vice President of Supply & Marketing. "CountryMark and participating CountryMark retail fuel stations in Indiana and surrounding states host this special one-day event to show our appreciation for the sacrifice our soldiers and military families make every day."

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, CountryMark made the decision to forgo in-person Fueling Freedom events to ensure the health and safety of the many groups and individuals involved in the program. Although in-person events were not held, CountryMark and its branded dealers donated over $40,000 to more than 20 local National Guard Family Readiness Groups.

In 2019, CountryMark raised more than $57,000 for local National Guard Family Readiness Groups. Many of the National Guard Family Readiness Groups use the funds to send packages to deployed local soldiers, host summer picnics for soldiers and their families, and fund after-school programs.
