CountryMark fuel stations to raise money for military families with Fueling Freedom

May 12 2022

When you fill up at a participating CountryMark fuel station on Friday, June 24 between noon and 5pm, CountryMark and its branded dealers will donate 50 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped to local organizations with a mission of supporting local military families. Customers are also invited to register to win a $150 gift card.

"Fueling Freedom provides a great opportunity for CountryMark and our branded dealers to partner with CountryMark retail fuel stations to support military families." said Matt Makinson, CountryMark Vice President of Supply & Marketing. "We look forward to seeing our customers purchase fuel at these stations on June 24th to help us recognize the daily sacrifice of military families."

In 2021, CountryMark raised more than $53,000 for organizations supporting local military families. Organizations receiving the donations included 24 local National Guard Family Readiness Groups and the USO of Indiana. Many of the National Guard Family Readiness Groups use the funds to send packages to deployed local soldiers, host summer picnics for soldiers and their families, and fund after-school programs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, CountryMark made the decision to forgo in-person Fueling Freedom events to ensure the health and safety of the many groups and individuals involved in the program. Although in-person events were not held, CountryMark and its branded dealers donated over $40,000 to more than 20 local National Guard Family Readiness Groups.

A total of 34 CountryMark fuel stations are participating in Fueling Freedom 2022. Participating CountryMark fuel stations include:

CountryMark Supports Indiana Ethanol Bill
An unknown Ohio group mailed postcards earlier this month to a number of Indiana households and businesses that claimed CountryMark "hates ethanol" because of CountryMark's support for Indiana Senate Bill 303, also known as the ethanol or gasohol bill. SB 303 seeks to update Indiana's definition of gasohol and would make selling gasoline with a 15 percent blend of ethanol legal year round in the state of Indiana.
