Fueling Wishes Fundraiser Launched at the CountryMark Station in Shelbyville, Indiana

Jul 29 2022

Shelbyville, IN – During the month of August, CountryMark is donating 20 cents for every gallon of fuel pumped at the CountryMark QuickPix station in Shelbyville, IN to fund the wish of a local child battling a critical illness.

CountryMark and QuickPix convenience store operator Herdrich Petroleum Corp are partnering with local organization Indiana Wish for this fundraising campaign. This is CountryMark’s inaugural Fueling Wishes fundraiser.

“How exciting it is for all of us to be able to do something as routine as filling up our vehicle and be making such a huge impact on an ill child’s life at the same time,” said Heather Meckes, Chief Administrative Officer at Herdrich Petroleum Corp. “We are grateful to be a part of this campaign and especially to be able to affect the local community that supports us.”

Fuel purchases from every pump at the CountryMark QuickPix station will contribute towards the proceeds raised for Fueling Wishes. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Indiana Wish, an Indiana-focused nonprofit organization granting wishes for Hoosier children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.

“Helping Indiana children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses is what we do to create One Wish, A Lifetime of Memories,” said Hillary McCarley, Director of Development and Wish Mom at Indiana Wish. “Every cent raised during the month of August at the CountryMark QuickPix station in Shelbyville will allow Angelo’s dream to come true! We are so grateful to work with CountryMark and QuickPix!”

This Fueling Wishes fundraiser will support the wish of Angelo, a Shelby County child battling a critical illness. Angelo’s wish is to travel to California with his mother for a vacation of exploring, shopping, and sightseeing.

“The community of Shelbyville, our employees, partners, and customers have a great opportunity to help make a wish come true,” said Matt Makinson, Vice President of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark. “ Please come out and support this station and make an incredible trip for Angelo happen!”

Fueling Wishes runs from August 1st to August 31st at the Shelbyville CountryMark QuickPix station. The community is invited to also show support to Angelo and his family by filling out cards located inside the convenience store.

The CountryMark QuickPix station is located 1601 E State Road 44 in Shelbyville, Indiana.
