Representatives from Indiana Wish, Herdrich Petroleum Corp, CountryMark and CountryMark QuickPix staff were present for the Fueling Wishes check presentation at the CountryMark QuickPix in Shelbyville, Indiana.

Shelbyville, IN – More than $13,000 was raised during the month of August to fund the wish of a local child battling a life-threatening illness during CountryMark’s Fueling Wishes fundraiser at the CountryMark QuickPix fuel station in Shelbyville, Indiana.

Proceeds from the fundraiser resulted from CountryMark donating 20 cents per gallon from fuel sales during the month of August, in-store donations from customers, and matching of those customer donations from QuickPix convenience store operator Herdrich Petroleum Corp.

“CountryMark was excited to work with such a truly caring, authentic organization like Indiana Wish to help raise funds for Angelo,” said Matt Makinson, Vice President of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark. “We want to express our appreciation for our station partner Herdrich Petroleum, the employees at the site, and all our loyal customers who purchased fuel in August!”

The inaugural Fueling Wishes fundraiser supported the wish of Angelo, a Shelby County child battling a life-threatening illness with a wish to visit California with his mother for a vacation of exploring, shopping, and sightseeing.

CountryMark and Herdrich Petroleum Corp partnered with local nonprofit organization Indiana Wish to make Angelo’s wish a reality.

“What a great way to start the week,” said Hillary McCarley, Director of Development for Indiana Wish. “Indiana Wish met all the key players in the inaugural Fueling Wishes program located at the CountryMark station on SR 44 in Shelbyville. Indiana Wish is so grateful to CountryMark, the local fueling station team members in Shelbyville, and Herdrich Petroleum Corp.”

Indiana Wish is an Indiana-focused nonprofit organization granting wishes for Hoosier children diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. The nonprofit will use all proceeds from Fueling Wishes to ensure Angelo’s wish is granted.

“Hopefully, this is the first of many wishes funded in CountryMark locations around the Hoosier state,” McCarley said. “The proceeds for this Shelbyville campaign will grant local resident Angelo his travel shopping wish!”
