Muncie Welcomes First CountryMark Retail Fuel Station

Jan 13 2016

Residents and travelers in Muncie, Ind. will now have the opportunity to fuel their vehicles with premium-quality CountryMark gasoline at a new retail fuel station open at 3401 East Memorial Drive.

The site features a convenience store with drinks and snacks as well as access to CountryMark premium gasoline from 5 a.m.-12 a.m. daily. Specific fuel products offered include CountryMark 87 PLUS and CountryMark 93 PLUS. CountryMark 87 PLUS is TOP TIER certified gasoline and comes with a 10-percent ethanol blend. CountryMark 93 PLUS is TOP TIER certified gasoline with a 10-percent ethanol blend that is ideal for larger engines and high performance vehicles.

The station is a partnership between AgBest, Herdrich Petroleum and Royal Brothers. Jason Ash, a territory manager for Herdrich noted this project involved a complete remodel of the site.

“The new and improved site features a new red, white and black canopy with the CountryMark logo, a renovated convenience store and high-quality gasoline at a very competitive price,” said Ash. “We like working with CountryMark, we like the brand and their fuel.”

According to Steve Prible, petroleum department manager for AgBest, this site has been well-received in the local community.

“People have been requesting a CountryMark fueling station in Muncie for a while,” Prible explained. “We are thrilled to help open this site and provide high-quality CountryMark fuel to area travelers.”

CountryMark’s line of premium liquid fuels begins with light, sweet American crude oil brought in from Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. It is refined to the highest specifications at the CountryMark refinery in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Fuel quality and integrity is further protected in distribution, as CountryMark owns its own pipeline distribution system.

CountryMark supplies fuels and lubricants to member cooperatives throughout the Midwest, which then supply energy products to 100-plus CountryMark branded retail fuel stations and 200-plus delivery routes.

“As a farmer-owned oil company, I think we approach fuel quality in a different way,” said CountryMark retail manager Gary Barrett. “We produce the quality of fuels that our farmer owners want to use in their own vehicles.

Barrett went on to note that CountryMark PLUS gasoline has earned TOP TIER certification.

“Only 30 gasoline retailers in the nation have achieved this quality level,” said Barrett. “Eight of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world recommend TOP TIER gasoline because of what this level of fuel quality does for gasoline engine performance and engine life. That’s the quality of fuel our customers expect from CountryMark, and that is the quality of fuel we provide.”
