TOP TIER - Better for So Many Reasons

Can Top Tier Gas Improve Your Car's Performance? - MONEYTALK MAGAZINE (DATED 8/29/2012)

TOP TIER detergent gasoline is the premier standard for gasoline performance, and all CountryMark PLUS gasoline products meet TOP TIER certification. TOP TIER was established by six of the world's top automakers - BMW, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Audi. These automakers recognized that the EPA minimum detergent requirements did not go far enough to ensure optimal engine performance.

Since the minimum additive performance standards were first established by EPA in 1995, most gasoline marketers have actually reduced the concentration level of detergent additive in their gasoline by 50%. As a result, the ability of a vehicle to maintain stringent Tier 2 emission standards has been hampered, leading to engine deposits which can have a big impact on emissions and driver satisfaction.

TOP TIER detergent gasolines help drivers avoid lower quality gasoline which can leave deposits on critical engine parts, which reduce engine performance.

Drivers with CountryMark TOP TIER gasoline enjoy these benefits:
  • Smooth running engines
  • Carburetors free of gum formations
  • Fuel injectors free of deposits
  • Improved engine performance
  • Fewer vehicle emissions
