CountryMark Station in Richmond Launches “Fueling Wishes” Fundraiser Benefiting Local Child

May 1, 2026
CountryMark is launching its Fueling Wishes fundraiser during the month of May at the CountryMark fuel station at 498 S. 8th Street in Richmond, IN. For every gallon of fuel purchased at the station throughout May, CountryMark will donate 20 cents to Indiana Wish, a Hoosier-based nonprofit that grants wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses. The month-long fundraiser is designed to give the community a convenient way to support a local child and help bring hope to a local family during a difficult time.

Funds raised through the Richmond Fueling Wishes campaign will support the wish of La’niya, a 15-year-old Richmond teen who is battling ovarian cancer. Through Indiana Wish, La’niya’s wish is to travel to Disney World with her family.“We are excited to work again with our great partners to support a teenager who could be lifted by a bright moment during this challenging time,” said Matt Makinson, Vice President of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark. “We invite and encourage everyone, whether in the community or just traveling through, to support this station and help us grant a special wish!”

The campaign is made possible through a partnership between CountryMark and Herdrich Petroleum Corp., the operator of the QuickPix convenience store at the Richmond station.

Fuel purchases made at any pump at the Richmond 8th Street station count toward the fundraiser. Customers may also add to the total by placing donations in designated collection boxes inside the QuickPix convenience store. Proceeds from the fuel purchases and in-store contributions will be provided to Indiana Wish to help grant La’niya’s wish.

The Richmond Fueling Wishes fundraiser represents the eighth wish fulfilled through CountryMark’s partnership with Indiana Wish.

“Over the past four years, our partnership with CountryMark through the Fueling Wishes campaign has made a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve,” said J’Lynn Edwards, Executive Director at Indiana Wish. “Their continued commitment demonstrates what’s possible when a community comes together with purpose and heart. We’re especially excited to see this year’s campaign come to life in Wayne County at the Richmond fueling station throughout the month of May. With every gallon pumped, we’re one step closer to granting more wishes and creating moments of hope when they’re needed most.”
