CountryMark fuel stations collectively over $60,000 on June 26 for local National Guard Solider and Family Readiness Groups (SFRG) and the United Service Organization (USO) through Fueling Freedom events at 36 CountryMark-branded fuel stations across Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Michigan.

During Fueling Freedom, CountryMark’s annual military giveback fundraiser, CountryMark and its branded dealers donated 50 cents from every gallon of fuel customers purchased, between noon and 5pm, at participating CountryMark fuel stations to the military organizations.

Local communities and customers demonstrated their support for Fueling Freedom with fuel purchases totaling nearly 90,000 gallons of Indiana-refined CountryMark fuels in just five hours. CountryMark employees and branded dealers joined local SFRG military volunteers to pump Indiana-refined CountryMark fuels for customers during the 18th annual event. Support was also shown for Fueling Freedom events with customers generously donating nearly $16,000 in cash donations!

“We had another successful Fueling Freedom and CountryMark wants to thank our branded dealers, service members and employees for their time and effort”, said Matt Makinson, Vice President of Supply & Marketing at CountryMark. “The communities around these stations continue to show their support for this worthwhile cause!

Among the 36 participating CountryMark fuel stations, the CountryMark Busler station in Evansville, Indiana led all participating stations in fuel sales, with customers purchasing 9,173 gallons during Fueling Freedom. In addition to proceeds raised from fuel sales, customers gifted an additional $600 in cash donations at the Evansville station.

The CountryMark Heartland Truck Stop in Logansport, Indiana ranked a close second in fuel sales with 8,586 gallons sold. The station led all participating Fueling Freedom locations in cash donations, collecting more than $4,500 for the fundraiser. Combining fuel sales and generous customer donations, the CountryMark Heartland Truck Stop raised nearly $9,000 for Fueling Freedom!

The third-highest performing Fueling Freedom location in fuel sales was the CountryMark station in Huntingburg, Indiana, with 4,892 gallons of fuel sold during the event.

CountryMark branded dealers participating in Fueling Freedom included Ag Plus, AgBest, Keystone Cooperative, Herdrich Petroleum Corporation, Laughery Valley Ag, Premier Companies, Superior Ag, and SynEnergy Partners.

All proceeds raised during Fueling Freedom will be donated to the USO and more than 10 local SFRG groups.

The USO will use the donations to provide support to service members wherever their service takes them, as well as to their families at home. The support includes delivering care packages and entertainment to deployed troops, along with spouse and youth programs for military families. The USO is proud to support and partner with National Guard programs and local SFRG initiatives, strengthening the well-being of the military community. Visit USO.org for more information.

SFRGs help strengthen the well-being of service members, foster connections between military families and their units and provide vital resources to those navigating the unique demands of military life. Fueling Freedom donations will help directly fund family meals, activities, and other essential programs and services for military families.
