Jul 6, 2021
CountryMark’s Fueling Freedom events on June 25 raised more than $53,000 to support local National Guard Family Readiness Groups. Across Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan 39 CountryMark-branded fueling stations participated in Fueling Freedom 2021. For every gallon of fuel pumped, CountryMark and local branded dealers agreed to donate 50 cents to local National Guard Family Readiness Groups.

“CountryMark’s Fueling Freedom was a great success for all involved. “This event gave CountryMark employees, branded-dealers and National Guard volunteers an opportunity to serve the communities that we operate in,” said CountryMark Vice President of Supply & Marketing Matt Makinson. “It is rewarding to support our local National Guard Family Readiness Groups and we are looking forward to continuing to expand this event in 2022!”

During the 13th annual event, CountryMark employees and CountryMark branded dealers stood side-by-side with volunteers from local National Guard units to pump locally refined, premium quality fuels for customers. In five hours, customers purchased over 91,000 gallons of CountryMark fuel. Additionally, customers donated over $7,000 to support American troops and their families – this was on top of the 50 cents per gallon that CountryMark and its branded dealers provided.

Out of the 39 stations participating in Fueling Freedom, the CountryMark Busler station in Evansville, Indiana sold more gallons than any other. The customers at this site purchased 8,012 gallons – a new station record for CountryMark’s Fueling Freedom program.

This site is owned by Busler Enterprises and is supplied their CountryMark fuels by SynEnergy Partners, who organized this past Friday’s fundraising event. SynEnergy employees joined employees from Busler Enterprises and CountryMark employees as well as Family Readiness Group volunteers to fuel up lines of cars and trucks and thank customers for their business.

“SynEnergy Partners and our dedicated personnel raised the bar for the 2021 Fueling Freedom event as was evidenced by our shared success this past Friday,” said SynEnergy Partners’ Chief Operating Officer Jeff Owens.
The SynEnergy team also organized a Fueling Freedom event at the CountryMark station in Waltonville, Illinois and served countless military-proud customers there as well.

“The customers at these two stations delivered on their commitment to support the men, women and families of our military and National Guard Family Readiness Groups,” said Owens. “SynEnergy Partners would like to thank the management teams and employees at Busler Enterprises and at the Spartanville Fueling Station for not only providing exceptional CountryMark branded retail venues for hosting these fundraising events, but also their generous support for armed services, first responders and their families. It was an honor to work together with local military families, as well as the fine men and women of CountryMark to further solidify our support and gratitude to these military families. This years’ success is a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration between our employees, communities and branded retail partners.”

The second highest performing station in this year’s Fueling Freedom program was the CountryMark Premier station in Brownstown, Indiana with 5,965 gallons.

CountryMark branded dealers who participated in the Fueling Freedom events included: AgBest, Ag Plus, Ceres Solutions, Co-Alliance, Laughery Valley Co-op, Premier Companies, Superior Ag Resources, and White River Co-op

As a result of Fueling Freedom,23 National Guard Family Readiness Groups in 4 states will benefit from this year’s events. Donations from each participating Fueling Freedom site were given to the National Guard Family Readiness Groups located closest to the participating fuel station. Family Readiness Groups help build National Guard unit morale, build unit retention, and increase participation levels in family-related unit activities.
